My wife, Carolyn, and I, Von, are serving a Church Service Mission to the Sandy Vegetable Farm.  This is our last year of a 3 year calling.  The purpose of this Blog to is show, in pictures, our progress of the farm this year.
The Farm consists of  2 1/2 acres with 32 grow boxes 80 feet long and 5 feet wide.  We grow a variety of vegetables and take our produce to the Bishop's Storehouse in Sandy, Utah.  We also have an open field where we grow vine type vegetables.
The male missionaries have already started on the farm.  We are soon to be planting in the greenhouse to get an early start on the season.
There are approximately 20 missionaries and lots of volunteers from various stakes in the valley.  We serve at the farm on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings.  We hope to keep the farm going into the middle of November.
