It seems in Chicago there is the ever present awareness of the lake.....Lake Michigan.  Even though we seldom see it, we KNOW it is there and it draws us to the shore to see its beautify in storm, calm, cold, heat, stillness, crashing waves, greyness or the loveliness of its various blues and turquoise colors.
