Planting Corn in the Field

Above is corn growing in the Greenhouse.  The
Corn is planted in plastic tubes with soil.  When
the corn is approximately 6 inches tall they are
ready to be planted in the field.

Volunteers are planting the corn.  The corn plant is removed from its growing tube and placed in the ground approximately one foot apart.  The furrows have already been dug.

This process is time consuming, hence lots of volunteers are needed for this process.
The finished project.  Corn growing weeks ahead of just planting seed into the ground.
We hope to add a second crop of corn this growing season.
