On Christmas Day, missionaries awoke at 4:00 a.m. to
arrive at a service project that started at 5:30.
More than 60 missionaries helped package
over 26,000 Christmas Day dinners
for the needy in Chicago.
What a memorable
Christmas
Experience.

Christmas Day
after serving (above)
15 great Missionaries from
our area or zone arrived at our
apartment between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
in order to eat pancakes, bacon and orange juice.
This sister insisted on cooking the pancakes.
*****************************************************************
Breakfast ended
promptly at 10:30 so
we could all arrive at our
Willmette Stake Center for
a beautiful hour long Christmas
service of singing and messages.
*****************************************************************
Next we stopped by the beautiful Lake Michigan.
*****************************************************************
For something very different we chose
to eat out for our Christmas dinner.
Steak n' Shake was our choice.
A steak burger, a footlong
Chicago Dog and a white
chocolate milkshake
made our meal.
*****************************************************************
The rest
of the day was
spent napping, skyping
with all of our children and
most of our cute grandchildren
to our great joy. Next we watched
our favorite Christmas movie on our
computer - "Best Christmas Pageant Ever".
*****************************************************************
We couldn't have had a nicer Christmas
in the Illinois Chicago Mission.The
remembrance of "the gift" of
Christmas added a glow
to our activities.
